Motor Home Fire

On Thursday March 18th around 1pm The Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched to an address on Crow Hill in New Castle for a report of a motor home on fire. Units arrived to find light white smoke pushing from the windows and doors. The first due engine crew stretched a pre-connected 100ft trash line to the side door while the officer located the fire inside the motor home. As the line was being stretched inside additional members performed outside ventilation when water was applied to the fire. The fire was knocked down quickly and members performed overhaul to ensure there were no additional pockets of fire remaining. After investigation it was determined the fire was started by a space heater being used inside the motor home.
