Members of the Mutual Engine and Hose Co. were invited by our friends and mutual aid partner the Millwood Fire Department to participate in simulation drills in a house donated by a resident of New Castle. Members trained on roof operations, ladder operations (ground ladder and aerial ladder), hose stretches and placement, searches and firefighter survival. These skills are constantly trained on throughout the year but it is not often the opportunity comes around to train in a simulated real-life scenario. We all took full advantage and ran as many evolutions as time would permit. We would like to thank the Millwood Fire Department for the invitation and the hospitality.
