On Tuesday April 20th around 2pm The Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire on Main Street. Units arrived to find there was no fire but a telephone pole had snapped and fell on top of a tractor trailer. Members secured the area to keep the public away from the live wires, secured the wheels of the trailer using wood blocks to prevent the truck from rolling in the event the breaks failed and checked on the status of the driver. Con Edison arrived not too long after and de-energized the wires making the scene safe. Fire department units were released and the road remained closed until the broken pole was removed.
