| Training is an essential part of a firefighters job. We like to take the opportunity to train with other departments that come to help with larger events, such as fires. In this drill, members from the Mutual Engine and Hose Company are working with members of the Bedford Fire Department to draft water out of a pond, feed the water to an engine, and pump hand lines from that engine. This technique of getting water is used in areas where there is no access to a public water system and fire hydrants.
